The 1000 dreams Counselling Team is led by Tanya Penn and supported by David Deakin, both of whom are qualified Counsellors and registered members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Some of the other counselling team members are also profiled below. We believe in, and are trained in an ‘integrated counselling’ approach, which means that we are not limited to just one approach (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – CBT). This means that we treat each person as a holistic individual, and use the therapeutic approach that will be most appropriate. You can be assured that all of our Counsellors will be empathetic, non-judgemental, and want the best outcome for you.
We are able to offer face-to-face counselling in a variety of locations around the UK, and this is expanding all the time. For details about availability in specific geographic areas, please contact us.
However, using online video counselling (we use Skype or Zoom) means that you can access this service from anywhere, if you have a device with good internet access. And this has many benefits in terms of being able to do this from your own home, without perhaps having to involve other people, and at lower cost, We offer a trial 50 min online session, at a 50% discount – even this single session can be helpful for you.
